Black bridge getting ready details

  • Picking the right photographer is one of the most important decisions you’ll make in your wedding planning process. For after the flowers fade and the cake is gone, your pictures, videos, memories and bond are what will remain. I like to start with a phone call, zoom meeting or coffee date to get to know each other and see if we’re a fit for working together.

If it’s an excited Yes, I’ll send you a simple photo agreement, which covers all the details of what you can expect from working with me. A signed contract and 20% deposit will secure your wedding date on my calendar and close that date from other bookings. Weekend dates tend to fill up first, so I recommend getting those dates secured as soon as possible. I accept limited wedding engagements each year, and take bookings on a first come first serve reservation basis.

  • Every wedding is unique and a direct expression of the couple joining their lives together. It is my goal as a photographer to capture the special spirit between you and your loved ones in a way that is not only beautiful, but timeless.

My photo shooting style is a hybrid of documentary and artistically directed moments. Sometimes I am like the fly on the wall just witnessing what is candidly happening, letting time and emotion organically unfold. Other times I will offer simple suggestions to give posed moments more grace, or set up a scene. All together my approach and seasoned focus creates an artistic and beautiful perspective to the story of your day.

My photo editing process is clean and classic with the intention to present you with images that will age well and stand through time as beautifully as the day they were taken. While some photographers opt for a signature edit style, these will often look dated with time as styles change (for that is the nature of style). I believe in the ageless look of black & white images, classic color and natural light, true to the real moment.

  • No two weddings are the same, and that is what has kept this work exciting and enjoyable for me for nearly two decades. I love the individual ways each couple chooses to express themselves on their day. My packages are a starting point of collective options, and can be customized to your individual needs. Just ask for more information.

As part of the process of working together, I offer consultation services to help you dial in the optimized flow and timeline for your day. I want to make sure we are maximizing the best light and getting the most out of our time together. I have many years of experience + hundreds of weddings supporting my skillset, so I am a great resource of information and make that available to you as part of the planning process. I often hear brides tell me “I’ve never done this before” to which I reply “I have”!

  • One of my skills is helping those I photograph to relax so that life can just happen and the natural beauty in you will shine through. No matter if you like having your photo taken or not, I’ll bring a whole new level of confidence to your experience that will last far beyond the moment. A good photographer brings a presence of self confidence, and knows how to make the best out of each moment. Those are the images I present to my clients.
